About Denielle Bassels:
Toronto born singer, songwriter, and bandleader Denielle Bassels, was working in Switzerland when she began singing in bars to earn extra money to extend her stay.
Denielle went on to perform all over Europe including the Cuilly and Lausanne Jazz Festivals in Switzerland and Paris. Her repertoire is full of original music that draws from a unique palette of her own influences; from Ella Fitzgerald, to Nina Simone, to Amy Winehouse. Her style is both retro and modern, incorporating the best of the old and the new. Farley Flex of Canadian Idol described it as “Unique and Fresh!” while Derek Houghton of The Gallery Studio Café described it as “conversational, whimsical and story driven”, and her voice “soulful, sassy, classy and pure”.
